IELTS

The International English Language Testing System is the world’s most popular English language test for work, study, and migration.

Know about IELTS

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is widely recognized as the most popular English language test for individuals seeking work, study, or migration opportunities. Over 10,000 institutions have faith in IELTS as a trustworthy gauge of a person’s ability to communicate proficiently in English, as it evaluates an individual’s English language skills in four areas: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

IELTS is available in both computer and paper-based formats and is the sole high-stakes language test recognized for migration purposes in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. With a focus on human interaction, IELTS introduced the concept of testing English language proficiency in all four skills over 30 years ago, and it still sets the benchmark for English language testing to this day.

IELTS TEST FORMAT

IELTS is a test of all four language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. You will take the Listening, Reading, and Writing tests all on the same day one after the other, with no breaks in between. For the Speaking test, you can book a slot online on your preferred date and time. If you fail to choose a slot within the stipulated time, a slot will be automatically allocated to you. The total test time is under three hours.
